Our September 2011 census found that condoms at 30 percent of CVS stores in Prince George’s County, Maryland are locked up or otherwise inaccessible. CVS stores with inaccessible condoms are more likely to be located in majority black neighborhoods and have higher HIV rates than CVS stores with unlocked condoms. We’re advocating for CVS to unlock all condoms in Price George’s County and adopt a national policy to ensure condom accessibility in its stores across the United States.
